01 Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions, the following terms carry the meanings set out below:

  • "Sapsin", "we", "us", or "our" refers to Sapsin, a legal services firm registered and operating in Thailand, with offices at 50 Sathorn Road, Thung Maha Mek, Bangkok 10120.
  • "Service" means the inheritance and estate legal advisory services offered by Sapsin, including but not limited to the Inheritance Position Review, Probate Assistance, and Comprehensive Estate Support.

  • "Agreement" refers to these Terms & Conditions together with any engagement letter or service confirmation issued by Sapsin.

  • "Website" refers to the site operated at sapsin.sbs.

02 Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting an enquiry, or engaging Sapsin for any service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our website or services.

Our services are intended for adults aged 18 years and over who have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Where you act on behalf of a family or estate, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Submitting a contact form or making an initial payment does not of itself constitute the formation of a legal services engagement; a formal engagement letter signed by both parties is required for the provision of legal services.

03 Service Description

Sapsin provides inheritance legal services to individuals and families navigating estate matters under Thai law. Our current service offerings are:

  • Inheritance Position Review (฿3,700) — An initial advisory meeting to assess the estate and outline possible approaches in plain terms.
  • Probate Assistance (฿5,800) — Support with preparing and filing estate administration documents through the appropriate channels.
  • Comprehensive Estate Support (฿7,800) — End-to-end legal assistance covering documentation, formal procedures, and representation throughout an inheritance matter.

Services are provided primarily to clients located in or connected to Thailand. We reserve the right to decline an engagement at our discretion, and no obligation to accept any instruction arises until a written engagement letter has been signed.

04 User Responsibilities

When accessing our website and engaging our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information in all communications and documents submitted to Sapsin.
  • Notify us promptly of any changes to information that may affect the scope or conduct of your matter.
  • Not use our website in a manner that infringes the rights of others, violates applicable law, or disrupts the operation of the site.
  • Respect the confidential nature of communications and not disclose advice or documents provided by Sapsin without our consent, except as required by law.
  • Refrain from making misrepresentations about your identity, the nature of your matter, or your authority to act on behalf of an estate or family.

05 Intellectual Property

All content on the Sapsin website — including text, design, structure, logos, and materials — is the property of Sapsin or its licensors and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws in Thailand and internationally.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the website for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.

Documents, advice, and written materials prepared by Sapsin for you in the course of an engagement remain our intellectual property unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, though you are entitled to use them for the purposes for which they were prepared.

06 Payment Terms

All fees are quoted and payable in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due in accordance with the terms set out in your engagement letter, which will specify any deposit, staged payment, or settlement arrangements.

Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of engagement. Where a service requires a deposit before work commences, that deposit is generally non-refundable once advisory work has begun, unless Sapsin has failed to commence service within an agreed timeframe.

Fees for services are as listed at the time of engagement. Any additional scope of work beyond what is outlined in the original engagement letter will be quoted and agreed separately before additional fees are incurred.

Refund requests for services already delivered in whole will be considered on a case-by-case basis and are not routinely available once the service has been substantially performed.

07 Service-Specific Terms

The following additional conditions apply to the delivery of legal services by Sapsin:

  • Scope of work — The scope of each engagement will be defined in the engagement letter. Work falling outside that scope requires a separate written instruction and, where applicable, an additional fee.
  • Client cooperation — Timely provision of documents and instructions by the client is essential. Sapsin is not responsible for delays arising from incomplete or late provision of information.
  • Third-party costs — Court filing fees, government charges, notary fees, and similar third-party costs are not included in our service fees and will be invoiced separately at cost.
  • Confidentiality — All information shared with Sapsin in connection with your matter is treated as confidential in accordance with applicable professional obligations.
  • No guarantee of outcome — Legal proceedings involve inherent uncertainty. We provide careful, considered advice and representation, but we do not and cannot promise any particular outcome in any matter.

08 Disclaimers

Information presented on the Sapsin website is provided for general guidance only and does not constitute legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed by browsing the website or submitting a contact enquiry alone.

Our website content is provided in good faith but we make no representation that it is current, complete, or applicable to any specific set of circumstances. Laws change, and the information on this website may not reflect the most recent legal developments.

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, in relation to the website to the extent permitted by law, including warranties of fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

09 Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by Thai law, Sapsin's aggregate liability to you in connection with any engagement or use of our website shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Sapsin in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, or special loss, including loss of opportunity, loss of expected benefit, or emotional distress, even if we had been advised of the possibility of such loss.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Thai law.

10 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sapsin and its advisors from any claims, losses, costs, or liabilities (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of our website, your breach of these Terms, or any information you provide to us that is inaccurate or misleading.

11 Termination

Either party may terminate a service engagement by providing written notice in accordance with the engagement letter. Where you terminate an engagement after work has commenced, fees for work completed to the date of termination remain payable.

Sapsin may cease to provide services if a conflict of interest arises, if you fail to provide necessary instructions or documents after reasonable notice, or if continuing the engagement would place us in breach of professional obligations.

Provisions relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination of any engagement.

12 Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand.

Before commencing formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute informally by written notice, allowing at least thirty (30) days for the other party to respond and seek a resolution in good faith.

If informal resolution is not achieved, disputes may be referred to mediation or arbitration by mutual agreement prior to litigation, though neither party is obliged to pursue this route.

13 General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement — These Terms, together with any engagement letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sapsin in respect of the subject matter herein.
  • Severability — If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver — Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it subsequently.
  • Assignment — You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
  • Notices — Formal notices under these Terms should be sent in writing to our address at 50 Sathorn Road, Thung Maha Mek, Bangkok 10120, or by email to [email protected].

14 Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable law, or operating practice. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.

Continued use of our website or services following any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to draw them to your attention, though we are not obliged to provide individual notification in all circumstances.
